PLUSPAC FD 1465
PLUSPAC FD 1465 is a new development in the field of polyaluminium chloride solutions and is different from conventional products due to its significantly improved performance. Feralco manufactures the products of the PLUSPAC family according to a process developed by Feralco. The high chemical activity is based on trivalent Al3+ ions and divalent metal ions. Due to its special composition PLUSPAC FD 1465 is suitable for the most various applications and can be used for treatment of process water, municipal and industrial wastewater as well as coagulant and fixative in production processes with colloidal systems.
Product properties

Application, dosage and storage
The main fields of application are:
- Industrial and municipal waste water treatment
- Process water treatment
- Fixing agent and flocculation aid at the stock preparation and wet end of paper manufacture (charge neutralisation)
- Treatment of oil contaminated water
- Potable water treatment
PLUSPAC FD 1465 should be dosed directly via suitable acid-resistent dosing pump into raw water, waste water or stock flow. Dilution prior to dosing is not recommended. The dosing installation should be installed in such a way, that a good intermixing is achieved. Optimum dosage has to be determined individually, for example by a laboratory test. For application advice please feel free to contact the Feralco team at any time.
PLUSPAC FD 1465 is compatible with most cationic polymers but stability tests should be carried out in individual applications.
The pH-value during coagulation will depend on the application but is usually in the range 5.8 to 8.0 and preferably 6.5 to 7.0.
Storage tanks shall be constructed in chloride- and acid-resistant material like glass-fibre reinforced plastic or rubberlined steel. Ensure that brass or mild steel fittings are avoided. Pipes and valves of PVC, reinforced polyester and other chloride- and acid-resistant plastic materials are satisfactory subject to temperature limitations.
A regular inspection and cleaning of the tanks and dosing installations is necessary.
