Feralco develops recycling processes. The overall objective is to reduce both the sludge production and consumption of coagulation reagents. This development is carried out in line with the evolving needs expressed by the research centres and engineering departments of our customers.

The REAL process

Recovery of aluminium and iron in sludge produced by physical-chemical treatment
The REAL process combines chemical reactions and membrane technologies for reduced consumption of coagulant salts by creating an ecological extraction cycle: upgrading of the active ingredient contained in the sludge generated during treatment. This process is currently running in China.

Recovery and development of by-products or waste containing aluminium and iron

The R & D lab in Colombes conducts studies of recycling and recovery of by-products or effluents from the chemical industry or chemical and physical treatment of metal parts.
