Aluminium and polyaluminium sulphate
The aluminium sulphate produced by Feralco meets the most demanding standards on products used for the production of drinking water – BS EN 878 type 1, iron-free – by use of the finest raw materials.
Aluminium sulphate, chemical formula Al2(SO4)3 • H2O is marketed as liquid or solid product.
Aluminium sulphate is used primarily for drinking water production to precipitate the suspended solids and colloids.
It is used as a reagent for precipitation of fluorides, phosphates, reaction intermediates in the chemical industry, pharmacy and cosmetics.
In the paper industry, it is used on the machines as retention agent for sheet formation or as a coagulating agent in the treatment of anionic trash.
Aluminium sulphate is also used in water treatment, especially for phosphorus removal.
