New management in the Feralco Group

Following CEO Jonas Jung's announcement to leave Feralco, the Group will be divided into two operating units: Feralco UK & Nordic and Feralco Europe.

In August Mr. Jonas Jung, CEO of the Feralco Group, announced that he will leave the company and pursue a new career in the chemical industry. Mr. Jung has been with Feralco since it was established eight years ago, and has been a driving force behind the growth of the company into a position as the second largest supplier of inorganic water treatment chemicals on the European market.

Subsequent to Mr. Jung’s announcement, an in-depth review of the management structure of the Group has been performed. The outcome of this analysis is that a new management structure has been created which recognises that the bulk of Feralco’s business is concentrated to the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.

The Feralco Group will effective from October 1, 2008 be divided into two operating units: Feralco UK & Nordic with responsibility for operations in the United Kingdom, the Nordic region, Germany and Switzerland, and Feralco Europe with responsibility for the Group's activities in France, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. Mr. Stephen Childs, currently Managing Director of Feralco (UK) Ltd, has been appointed CEO of Feralco UK & Nordic. Mr. Ludovic Huitorel, currently Managing Director of French subsidiary Feralco Environnement SAS, has been appointed CEO of Feralco Europe.

The two geographically focused Feralco companies will have a close cooperation and a high degree of coordination in those aspects of the business where scale-effects are of importance and a plan for allocation of these shared responsibilities between the two entities has been developed and agreed. As a consequence the responsibility for the operational head office functions of the Feralco Group will, from October 1, 2008, be transferred to the Feralco offices in Widnes (UK) and Paris. Mrs. Anna Swerre will maintain her position as Group CFO in the new management structure.
